If you are looking for something to do on Sunday and aren't racing...

The CCTT has rescheduled the IM Swim (1.2 and 2.4 mile distances) for this Sunday, July 30th, 7am at Sheeps Pond in Brewster. Margaret Muse is coordinating all of the moving parts that need to be in place to hold the swim, which include:

Volunteers are still needed (15 is the number we hope to have) for either the evening before (set-up), early Sunday morning (more set-up and registration) and during the swim itself (helping to guard the swimmer).

A donation of $10, towards the lifeguard fund. With this, the Team can hire a few certified lifeguards to go along with the volunteers.

If you plan to swim you would need to pre-register with Margaret at Swimmers do need to be current CCAC members to participate.

Parking will be at the Route 124 lot just south of the entrance to Fishermans Landing.

So if you are interested in either volunteering or swimming please let Margaret know as soon as possible.

    Thank You

    The CCTT Steering Committee

Again this year we'll be going to Hardings Beach July 18th, 2017 after our Tuesday Night Group run/walk/bike/swim from Monomy Middle School. We have all kinds of options for distances. Could do a little of everything. Most likely the swim will be at the beach after all the other stuff. Walk could be 5k to 5 miles, start at 5:00pm most of the time. Run is usually 10k+ and starts at 5:30pm. Bike could be anything really time to be TBD. Bike/run will be about 12 miles/5k, probably 4:45 pm or so. Looking for somebody who knows the area if we get some people to bike to lead the way. As we get closer and Howard gets some feedback on what members want to do  that information will be posted on Facebook.

We've got a couple of grills, might need one more, so bring your burgers and buns, hot dogs and buns or whatever and some to share. Chips, potato salad, pasta salad and other cookout stuff. Paper products would be key, as well as a couple of tables. There will be water/soft drinks provided. Email Howard if you're going to bring something special so other folks can see and not duplicate.

Has this ever happened to you? Stuck miles from home, and you've never really looked at what's in that saddle bag? Oh, no! Wipe those tears away, for the folks from Sea Sports Cyclery will be giving a seminar on do-it-yourself bike repairs and maintenance Thursday, June 8, 7 pm at the Dennis Police Station (Community Room). This is a Cape Cod Triathlon Team event, but everyone and anyone is invited. If you'd like, bring one of your bike wheels and tools (if you have them) and bring your questions. See you there!

After taking a week off from racing, the Gran Prix race series continues this Sunday, January 15th at the Land Ho ( Restaurant in Harwich Port. The course is 4.1 miles, flat,  and takes you along Nantucket Sound. As always, the Walkers race begins at 10:30 and Runners at 11:00 and the Land Ho will provide the food post race.

It has been decided that the number of Gran Prix races members will need to complete for GP award eligibility will now be four instead of the usual five because of last weeks cancellation. In addition, the Weary Travelers Race, rescheduled for January 22nd, will still count towards GP standings if members choose to run that race.

Lastly, the Club will be accepting banquet payments at the GP this Sunday. There will be banquet registration forms available at the Land Ho.
