About The Trail

Rolling, paved sidewalks take you through the heart of the town of Dennis but avoid any major traffic areas with the exception of Setucket Road. Anchored by the Johnny Kelley Rec Area at one end, 3 and 5 mile loops are easily constructed and a run from the Rec Area to Route 6A and back is almost exactly 10K. Myriad diversions are possible - we recommend: crossing 6A at the end of Old Bass River Road and exploring the many roads down to the north-side beaches; heading west on the Setucket Road bike trail and exploring the Flax Pond trail complex to the north; soft, dirt trails of the Johnny Kelley Rec Area at the end of - or in the middle of - a long run along the paved paths; crossing 6A at the end of Route 134 and taking a tour of Quivet Neck.

Getting There

Take Route 6 to exit 9B and head north on Route 134. Take your first on Bob Crowell Road to park at the Johnny Kelley Rec area. You can also continue straight to the Wixon Middle School for parking.
