A true gentleman, Bob started running in 1972 when in his forties. Originally from the Worcester area, Bob 'retired' to Cape Cod where he took up some serious running and has since 'retired' again to Ft. Myers, FL. Bob ran his first marathon, the Norton Centennial in Worcester, in 1985 at the age of 57 in 3:05. In 1998, he set the 70+ age group record at the Cape Cod Marathon in the time of 3:23:09, a record that still stands.
