Pete Stringer has logged miles on just about every road and beach on Cape Cod as he searches for those elusive, magical running moments which are sometimes so difficult to find. Heading to Boston in 2009 for his 27th edition, he'll be adding this to his long list of over 175 marathons. And marathons are just training runs for this accomplished ultrarunner. Holding age-group records at the Nifty Fifty (60+: 7:50:00) and the Vermont 100 (50-59: 19:46:00) he is one of the few East Coasters to have completed the grueling Western States 100 and taken on the high altitudes of the Leadville 100. Every December, he can be spotted running from Hyannis to Provincetown (or back the other way) as he raises funds for his favorite charity, Big Brothers, Big Sisters. In February of 2009, Pete was inducted into the CCAC Hall of Fame at the Annual Awards Banquet.
