This April Janet Kelly, known to everyone locally as JJ, will be running her 14th consecutive Boston Marathon. She crossed the bridge to Cape Cod 10 years ago with her new husband and was the woman to beat in her age group as she compiled 31 marathons with an average time of 3:58. She holds an age group record at the Rhode Island Nifty Fifty and was selected as the 2001 CCAC female Ultrarunner of the Year. With 10 consecutive runs at the Vineyard 20 Miler, she has been a recipient of the CCAC Runner of the Year honor in 2000 and 2005.
