CCAC Announces 2022 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the 2022 Cape Cod Athletic Club Scholarship recipients:

Christopher Botolino of Centerville.  Christopher has just completed his freshman year at Johnson and Wales University where he is majoring in Exercise and Sports Science.  He is a member of the JWU men’s basketball team and has also coached at-risk students in grades K-8. Christopher graduated from Barnstable High School in June 2021 and during his time there he played for both the varsity (as Captain) and junior varsity basketball teams and was a volunteer coach with Shea’s Youth League Basketball and Barnstable Recreation. Christopher looks forward to coaching students again this year at JWU and would like to open an athletic training center for collegiate and professional athletes after graduation.  

Tess Kjoller of Osterville.  Tess recently graduated from Barnstable High School where she was Captain of the BHS gymnastics team.  Tess has competed in gymnastics for over 10 years and this year qualified for the MIAA Individual State Championships in bars, vault, and floor.  Tess has also dedicated time as an Assistant Coach to the Special Olympics and worked as a cook at a local beach club and restaurant.  She is headed to Colby Sawyer College in the Fall where she will be majoring in Business Administration.  After college, Tess hopes to own her own business, possibly a restaurant or gymnastics studio.

Olivia Manuel of Sandwich.  Olivia graduated from Sandwich High School and is headed to Bryant University this Fall to major in Political Science. At Sandwich High, Olivia was a member and officer of the National Honor Society and part of the SHS sailing team.  She was also a member of Chicas for Change and the Environmental Awareness Club. She is a committed dancer and has been dancing for over 10 years.  Olivia has worked as a junior lifeguard, lifeguard, and swim instructor for the Town of Sandwich and AquaSafe. She is interested in practicing law and will pursue a law degree after obtaining her undergraduate degree.

Briana Stanton of Sandwich.  Briana graduated from Sandwich High School in 2021 and has completed her freshman year at Worcester State University where she is majoring in Criminal Justice.  Briana is in WSU’s honor program. She is also a member of the Student Events Committee, Active Minds (a club that focuses on student mental health) and is the Secretary of the Criminal Justice Club.  During her time at SHS, Briana played volleyball and she has continued to play on an intramural volleyball team.  She is interested in pursuing a career in cybersecurity and is planning to intern with a local police department during her junior or senior year.

Christopher, Tess, Olivia, and Briana were each awarded $1,000 scholarships.  Best of luck in your studies!
