From our remote correspondent, the Barnstable High School track is open again for public use in the mornings, 6:00AM to 8:00AM on school days. If you’re not close to BHS, other tracks that are open for public use when not being used for school activities are at Sandwich High School, Monomoy Regional High School, Nauset Regional High School, Falmouth High School, Cape Cod Regional Technical High School and DY Regional High School. Want grass instead of track? Consider loops on the remains of a track at the Monomoy Regional Middle School. Removed in the 70s, the grass of the upper field is still a great place to do pickups, hard laps, and even a little barefoot running.
